Sec 1 Outdoor Adventure Learning camp 2026
Secondary 1 Outdoor Adventure Learning Camp
On 25 March, the Secondary 1 students from Crescent Girls’ School arrived at Sarimbun Camp filled with anticipation and excitement. We were warmly welcomed by the enthusiastic and cheerful facilitators and camp chiefs, who introduced themselves through lively and engaging performances. In no time, we became well-acquainted with them and were energised to begin the camp activities.
Throughout the camp, we took part in a wide range of activities, including high elements, abseiling, and ziplining. Many courageous students stepped forward to volunteer first, setting inspiring examples for their peers. One particularly memorable experience for most of the Secondary 1 students was the water confidence activity, affectionately nicknamed the “milo pond.” Wearing flotation devices, we entered the pond in groups and completed various challenges, such as floating on our backs. Laughter filled the air as we linked arms and attempted to stay afloat while singing our school song together.
In addition, staying overnight in tents and dormitories introduced us to new and unfamiliar environments, allowing us to grow more independent and adaptable. The campfire night brought the experience to a perfect close, with lively performances by each class and energetic dances led by our facilitators.
All the Secondary 1 students returned home with countless stories to share, valuable lessons to carry forward, and unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime.
