National Digital Explorer (NDE) 2024
National Digital Explorer (NDE) 2024
The National Digital Explorer (NDE) was a pivotal component of the Lower Secondary Computer Education Programme (LSCEP) for Secondary One students at our school. Utilizing the June holidays, students engaged in the NDE Learn module to develop proficiency in office productivity tools. This preparation led to the NDE Certify segment, where half of the cohort undertook certification. Subsequently, four students were chosen to represent the school in the challenging national round, NDE Certify & Compete, on July 30, competing against other top students from various schools.
Hosted by our school, the national round was a highly competitive event, where three of our students triumphed in the Business Track, securing two golds and one silver medal. This success is a testament to the rigorous preparation and enthusiastic support provided by our teachers.
Along with Rajarajeswari, I am thrilled to participate in the upcoming Grand Final (ICDL Asia Digital Challenge 2024), competing against students from other schools across Asia. The NDE experience has been enriching, teaching me advanced functions of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. These skills are not only vital for academic and professional purposes but are also applicable to everyday tasks. The journey through NDE has been both educational and exhilarating, equipping me with valuable tools to support my future endeavours.
